Gem Turns 5 Celebrates in School

Gem is grateful to being able to celebrate her 5 years old birthday with her classmates and teachers in school after not being able to go to school for many months and having spent her previous year birthday confined at home when Singapore was in a Covid-19 Circuit Breaker lockdown. Thanks to Singapore goverment management of the covid-19 pandemic and the foresight of having at least 80% of the population vaccinated from 12 years and older, the children are able to go back to school for lessons again and play with their friends. We pray that the vaccine for younger children will be roll out soon so we can protect the younger kids too.

Mia Turns 1 Month

We thank God for blessing us with our 2nd baby girl Mia and we’re so happy that today is Mia’s 1 month old marking a small but significant milestone. As Singapore joins the rest of the world battling the Covid-19 virus and the restriction is still maximum of 5 visitors per household per day, we aren’t able to invite more friends and relatives to share this special occasion with us. As such we setup our own home photo shoot studio with lightings, tripods, backdrop and canon camera to capture our family portrait photo.

Gem Turns 4 as Singapore Enters Covid 19 Lockdown

As the world battles Covid-19 Pandemic and Singapore enters a Circuit Breaker (Lockdown) where everyone is trapped at home, working from home and studying from home via Zoom video conferencing. Gem try her best not to show that she is feeling sad cause she is unable to celebrate together with her best friends and teachers in school. We setup a small birthday decor for her at home with her soft toys as attendees, blew some balloons, a birthday banner, a picnic mat as a make shift table cloth and a simple cake. She wears her most pretty dress and a mini crown on her head as we video call all her grand parents who joined us together in the singing of her birthday song via Zoom and cake cutting 🙂

Step into awe at CHIJMES Hall, filled with unique charm and ambience. An exquisitely restored early Gothic styled 19th Century chapel with intricate design and detail, it’s the perfect location to make memories that will last a lifetime. Boasting enviable high ceilings and detailed stained glass windows, the chapel’s columns and corridors also bear lovely motifs of flowers and birds – all adding to its lasting allure. Gazetted as a National Monument in 1990, CHIJMES Hall is indeed a stunning venue in the heart of the city.

Gem Turns 3 Birthday Surprise in Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer has been celebrated as Asia’s largest observation wheel and an integral part of the Marina Bay skyline. Towering at 165 meters above ground level with 28 glass cabins that make a slow circular revolution, you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the surrounding Marina Bay and its architectural landmarks, panoramic views of Singapore’s skyline and on a good day, even see parts of neighbouring Malaysia or Indonesia in the distance. We wanted to give Gem a unique 3 year old unforgettable birthday experience so we decided on The Singapore Flyer Private capsule. As Daddy surprised her with flowers and pearl necklace in proposal style, she’s so happy and the first words that came out from her mouth “It’s amazing” and it’s the first time she used the word Amazing and that amazed us.
